Frozen Orchids – a drama performance at Highbury Hall

Frozen Orchids
22 artists, 1 building wreathed in history, and a plethora of orchids- what will come next?

Frozen Orchids brings alive the many different identities of Highbury Hall over the years: the residence of Joseph Chamberlain, a hospital annexe for wounded soldiers in World War I, a residential home for the elderly… and now a wedding venue.

Performed by final year undergraduates from the University of Birmingham, Frozen Orchids continues the Department of Drama and Theatre’s collaboration with Birmingham heritage organisations, and follows original performances created for Newman Brothers Coffin Furniture Factory, Stirchley Baths, and, in 2019, The Roundhouse Birmingham.

Performances are taking place on the 16th and 17th May. Click here to reserve your place.
