Highbury grounds added to Historic England’s Heritage At Risk Register

Today, the grounds of Highbury have been added to Historic England’s Heritage at Risk Register. The Register includes buildings, places of worship, monuments, parks and gardens, conservation areas, battlefields and wreck sites that are listed and have been assessed and found to be at risk.

Both the grounds and house are now on the Register. Chairman of the Chamberlain Highbury Trust, Les Sparks said: “We are missing a lot of the features which have been neglected or destroyed and people are missing out on walking around the gardens and enjoying them.”
